Deer drama

On thursday evening, we saw a deer lie down in the long grass in our field and a few minutes later she stood up and a tiny little baby deer hopped about next to her.....they headed off across the field and into the woods. It was a really lovely thing to see.
The next day though she came came back on her own... stamping at the ground where the baby was born and running around obviously looking for it. Oh dear... I hope they found each other later.
