I think this photo came out really well. I used the timer to get a really clear image...and after a little struggle..Wilson was "happy" to be in the shot too.
Magic City.
The beautiful Magic City design for Portmerion Pottery by Susan Williams-Ellis in 1966....way ahead of its time.
Poem
I think this a well known poem...
"I'd Pick More Daisies" by Nadine Stair.
If I had my life to live over, I d dare to make more mistakes next time.I d relax, I would limber up.I would be sillier than I have been on this trip. I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances.I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I d have fewer imaginary ones.
You see Im one of those people who lived sensibly and sanely, hour after hour, day after day.Oh Ive had my moments, and if I had to do it over again, I d have more of them. In fact, Id try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day. I ve been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle ,a raincoat and a parachute. If I had to do it again,I would travel lighter than I have.
If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the Spring and stay that way later in the fall.I would go to more dances.I would ride more merry go rounds. I would pick more daisies.

Autumn
Today is the first day of Autumn. Soon it will be October. I used to dread this time of year, as it always reminds me of those dark days in 1989. Its unavoidable really....theres just something in the air. This year it feels okay though. I have learned over the years, that its not so much the anniversary that hits you the hardest...its the sunny day in April when you just really need to speak to them, or when you want to share some good news with them...those are the worst times. Because I still feel like I only saw them yesterday...and I often feel they are with me...I feel like I m in a time warp. 16 years have whizzed by and here I am aged 34....and here comes another anniversary. Its very strange being me!!!! This time of year sort of gives me permission to be sad if I want to be...but I often find I dont want to be ...and thats okay. So Im looking forward to the Autumn....digging out the jumpers, hats ,scarves ...the fresher air...and the happy memories.x

Food Festival.
Below are a few photos from our visit to Abergavenny this weekend. The Food Festival was good fun...lots of great food and drink on offer. We spent a lot of time in the CAMRA tent...tasting various bitters and ciders. There was live music, animals and someone called The Kipperman. Last night we had more to drink in The Skirrid Inn {The Oldest And Most Haunted Pub In Wales} and tried to capture some orbs or strange mists on our camera!! We stayed overnight in a B+B ...and this morning visited Llanthony Priory.

Pendant.
I won £70 on a sneaky bet last week. I knew that Northen Ireland would beat England...its all about team spirit isnt it? Shopping in Bristol yesterday, I had a rush of blood to the head and nearly bought a very expensive pendant in Jigsaw. I thought "just what I need to look cool and trendy in my new job". Luckily, I didnt buy it...and later I found the above necklace in Save The Children....for the bargain price of £2. So I now have a necklace which is much more 'me' and £68 left to buy some boots. Result.
True blue Aussie
Stephen Harmison had the best beard...but Shane Warne was the greatest character from The Ashes series.

Wet and wild.
We spent yesterday at Rhossili beach and Worms Head on the Gower. We walked through a deserted caravan park and met a dog with a surf board. There was thunder and heavy rain as we walked back...everything was misty and absolutely beautiful.

Citroen DS.
The most beautiful car in the world....ever. Almost 50 years after making its first appearance at the Paris Motor Show, the Citroen DS is still exciting and out of this world. Roland Barthes claimed that it had fallen from the sky, like an object from another universe. "Futuristic but completely functional, this startling machine at once renders half the cars of the world out of date". One day we will own a house with a garage...and sitting inside that garage will be a DS.

Team Coach
Ahead of tomorrows match against Wales at The Millennium Stadium, the England team are enjoying themselves at the St Davids Hotel and Spa on the bay. On my way to the post office this afternoon...I came across lots of activity, and a brief glimpse of David Beckham. No sign of Posh. Good luck Wales.
Space Rock.
I ve discovered a lovely little tune by Grandaddy. Definitely worth a mention, its called "He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's The Pilot.
