Wigan Athletic have just been promoted to The Premiership and its an amazing achievement. They will be playing Chelsea and Man Utd....and hoping that they can compete with the big boys. Good luck to them.
Going through some old stuff this week...I came across a first day cover from 23 Aug 1978, commemorating Wigans first home game in Division Four of the Football League. They played Grimsby Town at Springfield Park. I thought...brilliant...this will make us a fortune on EBay. But no!!!! I think it would probably make £5.00. Never mind... maybe one day Wigan Athletic will win the Premiership...and this tatty envelope will rocket in value????
