Ferns
There are ferns, bracken and thistles everywhere. And 6 foot high grasses along the edge of the garden. Its like a jungle out there.

Bath
It was lovely to meet Ros Roy and Roger in Bath on Saturday. They were staying there for a few days after a week in Somerset. We had a look around the market, walked up to the Royal Crescent Hotel, visited The Holburne Museum and had a quick walk along the canal. We drank lots of tea and coffee.
Roy was nt feeling too well. I hope it was just a bug and the cider and licorice helped to cheer him up. x
Party talk
We called in at Sophie and Mauri s on the way home from Bath. Sophie is having baby number 3 in a couple of weeks. She looked well and had made a chicken pie for us all.
Mauri will be 40 soon and they are planning a party for September. We went a little bit into party planning overdrive.... they thought it was funny that we had about 80 people coming to the party here.... and then they realized there would be about 100 coming to theirs..... including 39 children. Book that bouncy castle quick Sophie.

Lavender
One always likes to match ones nail varnish with the flower one is photographing!!!
Lavender is great.
The colour and the smell.
Before I took this photo today I spotted a grasshopper nearby. I will remember in future that it is very difficult to photograph a grasshopper!!! They just wont keep still.
Wow Gorillas
Bristol Zoo is celebrating its 175th Anniversary by placing life size gorilla sculptures around the city.... on the streets and in the parks.

Poppy field 1
I think it is always worth having your camera with you.
This is the prime time of year for wild flower meadows and I passed this amazing field of wild poppies today on my way home from work. I parked up at the side of the road and took a few photos.
It cheered me up after a difficult day. Saying goodbye to a participant after 4 years was never going to be easy.

Mum and chick
We ve been watching this pheasant and her chick for the last couple of weeks.... and it is a small miracle that the chick is still alive!
There have been close calls with a car, a crow and next door but ones cat.
Well done to mum and dad who have protected it from all these dangers.

Geraniums
I am loving geraniums at the moment. I would love to fill up every windowsill, table top and sideboard with them.

It was lovely in the garden today.
The weather forecast is for rain tomorrow, so we tried to get lots done in the garden today. Lots of beautiful flowers are out at the moment.

The Clytha/G7 Reunion
Everyone made a big effort (especially Gareth who left Plymouth at 5am) to meet up in Cardiff on Saturday. Cathy, Mark, Rick, Gareth and Tel all spent the day together...after a gap of about 18 years.... catching up and reminiscing.
Happy Days

We had loads of fun drawing numbers with fire sticks.... after a few attempts we managed to create a 40 to mark the occasion. x
