We had a fire at the top of the field and then later a fire in the basket on the patio.
We walked along the river yesterday... it was hot and sunny.
Anna wore her hat and scarves and with her waistcoat she could have been off to a festival. James ran through his list of technology/gadgets that he would like to buy...and Lara sang along to Horrible Histories..." I m a cowboy..real life cowboy..not like the ones you see on silver screens"
Its always lovely having them here x

We had a lovely day visiting Sophie and Mauri in their new house on Saturday. The weather was "changeable" but Mauri was determined to have a BBQ. Their new place is really nice... and they have a flat garden and a brilliant veg patch and greenhouse on the go. They have lived in Bristol for 12 years without a garden ... so it is good news now for them all to have some space around them. It was good to see them.

Tel looked fantastic in the wig we bought for 50p in Ramsey. The kids decorated it with pens, straws, a whistle.. and added a toy bee and a toy rat for the finishing touch. There was lots of laughing... and swooning from me.
It is our 11th wedding anniversary this week and this photo reminds me how lovely and funny Tel is. x

We had a lovely few days on the Isle of Man last week.
It was lovely to see Jim and Lisa and Iwan and Luke again... and to see their house looking so smart. Iwan is playing the piano really well...and Luke is mean on the pool table.
We played boules on the beach and walked up to the Laxy Wheel. We then looked around the museum in Douglas which was really interesting. We looked around the charity shops in Ramsey and bought 3 packs of "Sillybandz"...and a fantastic wig for 50p. Tel and Jim beat us all at Crazy Golf !!! We watched Avatar in the evening and ate too many beef and horseradish crisps..... knocked a glass of wine over and broke a wine glass. We got up at 6.30am to catch the ferry home.
We had a really nice time. Thanks x

We spent a lot of time yesterday... deciding where to put the window frames. Tel is going to make the windows, probably from perspex... so we can choose the size and shape.
It was lovely up there yesterday.... the field was cut on Friday by a young lad called Phillip. He came over in the afternoon on his little tractor and he has done a great job. The field looks great when its been cut.
