"Lets get the boys on the bais"
My Dad loved snooker..... he loved Alex Higgins and Jimmy White. He would have been a big fan of Ronnie O Sullivan.... and his thrilling 147 yesterday.

Hanging out with Florence.
Ang Richard Joseph and Florence came to stay for a few days last week. Richard was working and staying over in Bristol .... so Ang stayed here with the kids for 3 nights.
It was lovely to have them here.
On Tuesday we went to Dick Whittington Farm Park....where we played in the ball pit....rode on go carts....and met some Alpacas. The weather was hot and sunny and we all felt as if we were on holiday.
Florence had a restless night .... we all remember 4am very well!!
On Wednesday we went to the garden centre and bought a Magnolia bush for Joseph to plant in the garden. We did some shopping and had lunch in Monmouth (Joseph ate all his childs portion of egg mayonnaise sandwich.....very impressive) and then we pottered about at home. When Terence got home from work he helped Joseph plant his shrub in the border. We hope it will survive and grow over the years.
It was lovely just doing "normal" stuff together....spending a bit of time together. I hope they will all come and stay again soon. x

Country Fair.
We walked down to the Monmouth Country Fair this morning.....it rained on our way there...while we were there.. and on the way back. The show was good. There was a hamster competition going on, a bird of prey demonstration, men with chainsaws carving creatures out of big blocks of wood (accompanied by heavy rock music), lots of stalls selling Johnny Kingdom type outfits and local food and drink, and some really fast pony and traps racing around the arena.

Godparents.
Florences christening yesterday was a lovely occasion. Ang and Richards family and friends gathered, to be with Florence on her special day. After the service we headed back to Ang's house for some food and drink. It was lovely to see everyone and to take part as Godmother to Florence.

New crow on the block.
There is a new crow hanging around in the field at the moment..... and since he arrived we have had peaceful mornings and our windows havent been under attack. There has been lots of activity.... crows fighting each other in mid air....battling for territory. We are hoping this new crow has pushed the 2 batty old crows out .... and we and our windows can get back to normal.
