Sheep.

When Tel arrived home tonight, he found a sheep standing on the driveway. The sheep is now lying down on the front lawn. After 2 years we thought we d seen most things.....but now we have a very pregnant looking sheep in our garden. We have phoned a local farm to see if they are one short.... we will have to see if she is still there tomorrow.

Dave came to stay at the weekend....and we had a good and busy time. On Saturday, Tel and Dave cut down 2 trees at the top of the field...using ropes and saws... all very manly!! In the evening we drove to Blackwood to see Mark Watson at The Miners Institute. He was funny and charming..... one of his best lines was about how his wife has an electric toothbrush but he just has an accoustic one. On the way home temperatures dropped to minus 5 and we reminded Dave how great Kings of Leon are by playing "Because of the Times" really loud in the car. On Sunday we walked over to The Ostrich for some lovely food. The weather was beautiful all weekend and it was nice to catch up with Dave.

Last week, I had to call out the AA man when my car wouldnt start in the morning. Then 2 days later it went into the garage and failed its MOT. Oh no... panic stations. Its all been fixed now and I am back on the road. As a treat I took it through a car wash today. I bought Now Thats What I Call Music 35 on cassette from a charity shop, to play in the car .... only to find out that Now Thats What I Call Music 42 was inside the case!!!!!!

This weekend marks 2 years since we left Cardiff and moved in here. It really has flown by. It has been a great 2 years for us.... and we love living here. It has been great sharing it with family and friends. The countryside and the scenery always looks beautiful, even on a rainy day. On a sunny day like today it just looks amazing. The peace and quiet is very calming and relaxing. It is great to see wildlife around you. We have a compost bin and a veggie patch. We have an oil tank and a septic tank. It is a simple way of life in a lot of ways.... you have to appreciate the small things... as not much happens out here. We cant imagine living anywhere else.. and are enjoying our time here. We are very lucky.

Moles, Mauri and Mum to be.

Sophie and Mauri came to stay yesterday..... we spent all afternoon in the pub watching Italy v Ireland and then the big one... England v Wales. Mauri is Italian so he was quite pleased with the close score in the first game. The atmosphere for the Wales game was brilliant....the pub was split fifty fifty. When Lee Byrne scored for Wales it was so exciting I knocked my drink over....It was brilliant to see Wales go on to win the game.....great stuff. Old Wigan legend Shaun Edwards looked pleased to be their new defence coach. Iechyd da.
We went out to check our new garden feature this morning.... Mole hills are appearing in the field. Sophie is 5 months pregnant but was happy to climb to the top of the field and walk into the woods. The weather was a bit gloomy but it was nice to be out in the fresh air.

Oh happy day. England 19 - 26 Wales

Winter blonde.

About a year ago, I went to the hairdressers (I only go a couple of times a year!!!). She told me to stop using the "sun in lightener" as it was really bad for my hair and was causing damage. So since then I have been growing out the artificial blonde bits. My hair is now much darker than it has been in years.... and guess what? The spray in blonde was hiding quite a few grey hairs!!! This is quite shocking. It has reminded me of how my Mum used to go to Norman and Phillips in Wigan and have "lowlights" put in .... probably to hide her grey hairs. I am happy being almost back to my natural colour... but it is very tempting to reach for the bottle and cover up those unwelcome silver bits. Terence looks really good with his grey bits... its not fair!!!
