Bad grass on left....Good grass on right.

Last weekend we went to see a meadow in the grounds of a local convent. It was open to the public for the weekend. We met a man there, who knew all about meadow flowers and grasses and butterflies.....and he said that he and his wife would be interested in having a look at our field. ( This is starting to sound like a dodgy story!!!!) Anyway....they came along on Sunday, with a clipboard and 2 dogs and had a look around to see what we already have growing in the field. About half way up ...in the middle...we seem to have a little meadow already. They were impressed and recommended that we join the Meadows Group in this area. We have a bit of a problem with bracken and nettles around the edges of the field...are nettles supposed to be 8 foot tall? We will mow the field back in a week...but leave our mini meadow to keep growing.
Joining a meadows group....its funny where life takes you.

" On the couch "

...is the Big Brother show were experts discuss what the the Big Brother contestants are up to...through their body language etc. I find it fascinating. Its really interesting...how we can say one thing but mean another...and we give this away by stroking our face or looking down instead of up. There is always lots of strange behaviour in the BB house.....its really interesting to see how people act in a group. Some stay back and take their time...others dive in and make instant friends. I love all the analysis.
Charlie Brooker writes about Ziggy...."him and that open handed "hey, I m a reasonable guy" schtick he pulls at every opportunity. Hes like a surfer impersonating Tony Blair"
Its hard to predict a winner of this years BB.....its early days....but maybe new blokey "Brian"?????

The vet said "£130... plus £5 for each tooth that might need removing". That sounds like a lot of money to me. I think I ll have a go at brushing his nashers myself....when Wilsons in a good mood of course!!!

In my job I am visiting a man who is also growing veg in big plastic buckets. He is growing beetroot, carrots and potatoes. I wish i'd tried this years ago. Its fun.
